About the survey:

Market intelligence, a research firm with extensive law firm experience, conducted telephone interviews with midsize (20 to 49 attorneys) and large firms compiled at random. Survey conclusions stated as percentages are valid for all law firms of more than 20 attorneys, with a maximum margin of error of ±6.9 percent.

Since our first projects for law firms in the early 1980s, attitudes have changed dramatically. To measure those change, we recently talked with 202 law firms about their marketing programs in a survey of the “state of law firm marketing.”

The survey results point to even greater change in the future. We have summarized some of our findings on the following pages.
