20 Resolutions Experts Want Lawyers to Adopt this Year
By Greenfield Belser, a Finn Partners CompanyJanuary 6, 2017

The start of the new year is an obvious time to reflect on the past and look ahead to the future, especially for professionals deciding just what they hope to accomplish and focus on in the next 12 months. Taking that a step further, Attorney at Work, who publishes “one really good idea every day,” asked twenty plus experts to each provide one resolution they recommend practicing lawyers to adopt in 2017. When Partner/Catalyst Merrilyn Astin Tarlton asked Burkey for his best resolution, he didn’t want the conversation to end there.
Almost as if he had Red Cave CEO Jared Correias’ resolution, “Learn to multiply,” in mind, he suggested they turn the 22 pearls of wisdom into an eBook to expand its reach, and they were off. Burkey and Merrilyn, one of Greenfield Belser’s earliest colleagues and a constant source of innovation and creativity, agreed the resolutions would help every individual, if not every individual firm.
We hope you find some inspiration to conquer the year ahead, whether that be through learning to say no, investing in your team or committing to weekly networking sessions. Download your free copy of Be It Resolved, and let us know which piece of advice you’re resolving to adopt.
