It would be impossible to work in Washington and not work at some point for the U.S. Government. Extraordinary creative work has been created by designers for the National Park Service (Massimo Vignelli) and the U.S. Post Office (Ethel Kessler and many others). Our work for the FDA (Nutrition Facts, Drug Facts and EnergyGuide) is much less flamboyant but no less challenging. We have had fun with work for the Federal Trade Commission and numerous other agencies. Great design, however, does not usually show up the low bidder on the RFP. We are always interested in special projects, in particular (believe it or not) work on important but confusing forms. Beautifully designed, forms can save lives, ease stress, promote positive feelings, increase use and reduce errors.
