The Reading Connection: Of Wine & Words Annual Gala

For years, Greenfield/Belser has supported The Reading Connection, an organization committed to improving the lives of at-risk children and families by helping them create and sustain literacy-rich environments and motivation for reading. 

Their annual fundraising gala, “Of Words & Wine” took place last Friday and members of our design team were graciously invited to join in the festivities. We sent our very own Alexis Thornlow and Gwen Lader to the event where they experienced a very nostalgic tour through some of their favorite books growing up. The gala capitalized on this feeling of nostalgia by printing large book covers and displaying them throughout the event. They emphasized experience and learning. Volunteers also worked the room giving more information about the books and discussing upcoming initiatives that The Reading Connection will be apart of. A silent auction was also done, giving attendees the opportunity to bid on Redskins and Nationals tickets, eighteen bottles of wine, a vacation to Cape Cod and more. 

All and all, the gala was a wonderful experience. To see all of the fabulous work that our close client and friend, The Reading Connection, is a part of warms our heart.
