You can communicate what you want to say in a shorter post with a video detailing the message in a more intriguing way. Many (or even, most) consumers nowadays are watching videos versus reading articles—some studies are showing that people are consuming more videos than anything else. If you think like Badass film's website, you might gain more visitors by introducing videos. Videos are more likely to be remembered than a bulk of information crammed into a long paragraph, or even a static image. The website does a great job introducing a variety of videos and directors showing off their work, with some interesting interface features for play a video, pausing, etc. New websites being developed should consider video usage like this—it gains attention and makes the website that much more memorable, engaging and interesting.
