We live in an age of DIY website maintenance where any old image is allowed on the homepage after the initial site design is launched. Unfortunately, that launch is often a bobsled ride to the bottom with uninspired stock images quickly taking over the site. Make no mistake—we like stock photography. We use it all the time. But we don't use it on our homepage or any of the important brand tools—at least not without a twist. The truth is, if you wish every blog post to be illustrated (and they should be!), then you simply must use stock. It’s unaffordable to do otherwise. But, a homepage will not be memorable if the quality of its imagery is ordinary. That's why we were pleased when Nexsen Pruet called to have us refresh their homepage with new, original illustrations. Check it out.
