Greenfield Belser 2017 Annual Review

Greenfield Belser has been a Finn Partners company for almost two years. This year we are adopting the new Finn brand style we created for the firm that is on the second spread of our book. That’s exciting for all of us here at Finn, but that’s hardly all that has been going on this past year. Really, it is impossible to say we love the work we did for one client more than another, but our goal is always to show you a balanced portfolio—across sectors with firms of varying sizes located all around the country. Lost at Sea

Lost at Sea

Witnesses differ in their stories. Womble Carlyle, who announced their merger with Bond Dickinson last week, tells us their iconic bulldog, Winston, has retired. Become Of Counsel. That’s sweet. No, really, it’s such a nice way to imagine the retirement of what I believe to be the only law firm brand that ever gained traction in the market. Others openly mourn the loss of the brand bulldog as final, irrevocable. I prefer to imagine Winston, the creation of Diane Hartley and myself in 1995, as lost at sea. He may return but it’s not likely. We can hold out hope because his fate is uncertain, but the sea is a cruel mistress. As brand parents, we would prefer not to speak to the press, to have time for healing in private. For the time being, until you hear from us next, it’s hat over heart and a broad salute to Winston. What a dog!
