Green Ribbon Winner: American Institute of Architects

Our circuit through 50 of the largest associations in America was thrilling at times, but the sheer volume of information on sites left the visitor (well, us) frequently overwhelmed. Only rarely did an association stand and declare its mission in a powerful and compelling way. That's why we feel the associations that stood out deserve credit for their outstanding features. To that end, we've awarded green ribbons to eight association websites.

The third green ribbon award winner is the American Institute of Architects for their promotional microsite Hit the link in the rotating marquee of upcoming events and resource reports and arrive at a very impressive, ground breaking microsite that helps explain the vision and role of architects in America. Well done videos, social media, great photography and the clean lines of fine design are several of the features we like, which earned AIA a Green Ribbon. The main site falls more into the mainstream of association digital communications. However, the site is clean, easy to navigate and functional—Just what you might expect from an architecture focused organization.
