This quick read on Ogilvy & Mather’s name shortening and rebranding suggests that agencies have many of the same business challenges —changing markets, changing times, changing buyers, transforming businesses—that drive their clients to rebrand, reshape and campaign in new, inventive ways.
What’s notable to me is that Ogilvy outsourced the task to a smaller agency. That must have been an interesting assignment.
